The Tall Wood student residence is a groundbreaking project utilizing advanced wood-based building systems, physically demonstrating the applicability of wood in the tall-building market. Wood is the material of choice because it acts as a carbon store and is a renewable resource. It is an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) project and involves extensive offsite prefabrication including the structure, the building envelope panels, the main roof panels and some interior items.

At its intended height of 18 storeys, it will be the tallest wood building in the world. Tall Wood will deliver 404 student residence beds, and each of the 305 suites will have its own integrated kitchen facilities. LEED Gold.
